Only 1 single stool sample is required for the test. The collection must take place on a Sunday or a Monday and be shipped back to the laboratory for analysis within 24h of being collected.

Anyone from age 2 years and above, however, the test must be taken from an individual who does not wear nappies to avoid contamination with fibres.

Stop any probiotics for 10 days and/ digestive enzymes for 4 days before collecting your sample. You are not expected to discontinue any prescription medication, however please inform your practitioner if you have been taking any medication as certain some products, such as steroids, may affect specific markers and their interpretation.
